VR Experience

The Takealot control room was designed as a centralized operational space supporting real-time monitoring and coordination. The interior layout prioritizes visibility, efficient circulation, and flexible workstation arrangements to accommodate multiple users and evolving operational needs.

My role included concept development, space planning, and interior detailing, with a focus on integrating technology, lighting, and material finishes into a cohesive and functional environment. The result is a controlled, efficient workspace tailored to high-demand operational use.

Key Focus Areas

  • Centralized monitoring layout

  • Flexible workstation planning

  • Lighting coordination for screen-heavy environments

VR Experience

This project involved the design of a high-performance control room environment developed to support continuous monitoring, coordination, and decision-making within a corporate setting. The layout was driven by clear sightlines, ergonomic workstation planning, and the integration of multiple display systems to support operational efficiency.

As the lead designer, I was responsible for the spatial planning, workstation configuration, material selection, and overall interior coordination. The design balances technical requirements with a controlled, professional aesthetic appropriate for a mission-critical workspace.

Key Focus Areas

  • Ergonomic workstation and desk layouts

  • Integrated AV and display wall coordination

  • Clear circulation and operator sightlines

  • Durable, low-maintenance material selection

This selection includes control room designs for clients such as NedBank and Takealot, where I served as the lead interior designer. Each project was tailored to the client’s operational needs, integrating state-of-the-art infrastructure, custom finishes, and carefully considered spatial planning to support both function and form.
