THIS WAS A SECOND YEAR PROJECT WHERE WE WERE TO DESIGN A PUBLIC AREA. WE WERE TO DESIGN A PLACE IN GENADENDAL THAT IS DIGNIFIED AND SYMPATHETIC TO THE HISTORICAL AND PHYSICAL CONTEXT AND TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA. 

 

It is a public square, a shop, a cafe, a place of rest, of recreation, of socialising, of safety, of communal activity, of and for pedestrians, of and for ALL people of Genadendal and for visitors; it should even be accommodating of the passing cows and horses!
